HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Shirley Ann Alexander, 85, of Horse Branch, passed away on Thursday April 21, 2022, in Owensboro, Kentucky. Shirley was born on Dec. 13, 1936, in Smallhous, Kentucky, to the late Claudis and Viola Jones James.
Shirley was a member of the Centertown Baptist Church and the Ohio County Hospital Auxiliary.
Aside from her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Alexander, and two sisters, Delphine Addington and Lottie Jean Fusion.
Left to cherish the memory of Shirley are her two sons, Frank (Shelly) House and Tim House; one daughter, Kathy (Stephen) Aull; one sister, Beatrice Cundiff; six grandchildren, Jerry W. Maggerd Jr. (Donna), Brian Scott Maggard, Chad Alan (Marissa), Ashley Hall (Jared), Alison Fuller (Chris) and Kayla Bailey (Jon); and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, at 1 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be at Centertown Cemetery.
