RADCLIFF, Ky. — Jewel Faye Lawrence Murphy, 89, of Radcliff passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at her home. She was born in Ohio County, Kentucky, on Jan. 31, 1933, to the late Oscar and Annie Turner Lawrence.
She was a member of the Ohio County Seventh Day Adventist Church. Jewel was a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed bird watching and taking care of the elderly and her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Murphy; daughter, Sandra Miller; son, Stephen Murphy; brothers, James Rondie, Yewell Ray, Jesse, Clyde, William and Ed Lawrence; and her sister Vera Gray.
Jewel is survived by her daughter, Pamela Keller; son-in-law, Willard Miller; her stepson, Edmond Murphy Jr.; sisters-in-law, Lizette Lawrence and Meryl Lawrence; her grandchildren, Lee, Josh, Levi, Derek, Andy, David, Melissa, Stefanie, Jill, Brittany, Crystal, Sesiley, and Retha; and 42 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday, April 22, at 1 p.m. at Hartford Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 21, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hartford Memorial Funeral Chapel and Friday, April 22, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
