MADISONVILLE, Ky. — The forecast for the KYTC District 2 region is currently calling for rain around 5 p.m. on Friday, changing to a wintry mix and then snow within a few hours. Saturday’s forecast will remain in the 20’s throughout the day and overnight with possible wind chills in the single digits. Temperatures are currently forecast for the 50’s on Sunday.
Crews have been pretreating B and C routes today in preparation of the forecasted winter weather. The focus will be on interstates, parkways and A routes during the event in an effort to keep vital routes open to traffic.
Motorists should use caution in the early morning hours of Saturday and Sunday for potential slick spots on routes that are less traveled, as well as bridges and overpasses.
The KYTC District 2 includes the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, Hopkins, McLean, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Union, and Webster.
