HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Cherylan Jane Ferguson Geary, 73, of Horse Branch, passed away on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at her residence. She was born on Sept. 1, 1949, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to Amos Estell and Eula Kingery Ferguson.
She was a member of Horse Branch General Baptist Church. She married the love of her life, William Rodney Geary Sr., on Oct. 21, 1972, and was blessed with five sons.
Cherylan loved the Lord and going to church when she was able. One of her favorite things was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved very much. Cherylan was a true blessing to everyone she met. She loved going shopping and eating out. Always looked forward to family game night where there was never a dull moment.
Cherylan was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Wayman, Gene, and John Ferguson, and one sister, Louise Roy.
Cherylan is survived by her husband of 49 years, William Rodney Geary Sr.; five sons, William Rodney Jr. (Mandy), of Blanchester, Ohio, David Louis (Tracy), of Pleasant Plain, Ohio, Matthew Kyle (Katherine), of Horse Branch, Andrew Keith (Stephanie), of Caneyville, Kentucky, and Adam Lee (Kristi), of Centertown, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way; a sister, Naomi Jones, of Port Charlotte, Florida; and a sister-in-law, Willie Ferguson, of Camden, Tennessee.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Glendon Geary officiating. Burial will follow at Horse Branch General Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with Cherylan’s family from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
