BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Shirley Ann Dowell, 79, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at home surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on Feb. 19, 1942, to the late Bert and Alder Baggarly.
Shirley retired from the Ohio County Detention Center after 20 years of service and was a member of Pond Run Baptist Church near Beaver Dam.
Aside from her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Justin C. Dowell; one son, Anthony “Tony” Dowell; and four Brothers, Neal, Bud, Lenny, and James Baggarly.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Lisa J. Dowell and Pamela R. Dowell; one brother, Billy Baggarly; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 7, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam at 1 p.m. with Bro. Lealin Geary officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Burial will follow at Pond Run Cemetery.
