MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Kathy Ann Swift Whitlow, 69, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Kathy was born on Saturday, Feb. 23, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Maurine Smothers Swift.
She was a member of White Ridge Independent Church and a homemaker. Kathy enjoyed cooking, playing games and she loved her coffee.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Edward Swift, Richard Neil Swift, and Terry Skaggs.
Kathy Ann Swift Whitlow is survived by two children, Michael Paul Hope (Tammy), of Georgetown, Kentucky, and B.J. Whitlow (Erica), of Greensburg, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Jacob Hope, of Georgetown, Josh Hope (Brooke), of Richmond, Kentucky, Madeline Hope (Charles), of Lexington, Kentucky, Kirsten and Kellen Whitlow, of Greensburg; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Hope and Aubrey Parhnam, both of Lexington; seven siblings, Bro. Buddy Swift, of Morgantown, Rocky Swift, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Joseph Swift Sr. (Shirley), of Beaver Dam, Fanya Lynn Swift, of Beaver Dam, Donna Tucker, of Morgantown, Brenda Stillwell, of Beaver Dam, and Margaret “Cookie” Hudson, of Beaver Dam; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the White Ridge Independent Church Saturday, Jan. 29, at 12 p.m. with Bro. Buddy Swift officiating. Burial will be in the White Ridge Cemetery where Jacob Hope, Josh Hope, Kellen Whitlow, Kenny Swift, Terry Skaggs Jr., and Rocky Swift will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time at 12 p.m. at the White Ridge Independent Church.
