MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Marguerite Porter Tuggle, 86, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. She was born in Butler County, Kentucky, on June 19, 1935, to the late Clark and Mable Johnson Porter.

She attended Walnut Grove Church. Marguerite was a homemaker and cleaned houses. She loved to cook and dance.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Tuggle; brothers, Robert and Tommy Porter; sisters, Aleta Connors, Marie Crump, Bonnie Romans, and Joyce Hammers.

Marguerite is survived by her son, Chad Tuggle, of Cromwell, Kentucky; daughter, Candace Tuggle, of Scottsville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kayla Bailey, of Cromwell, Jacob Bailey, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Kylie and Luna Autry, and Cova Harris, all of Cromwell; two brothers, Albert Porter (Linda), of Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, and Mike Porter (Kathy), of Rochester, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Darryl Dockery officiating. Burial will be held in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
