OWENSBORO, Ky. — With Giving Tuesday right around the corner, Nov. 30, United Way of the Ohio Valley is proud to announce its community collaboration efforts. United Way of the Ohio Valley has partnered with 70 non-profit organizations across its six-county region and once again granted access to its mobile giving platform. Agencies signed up can raise funds online, through crowdfunding/peer-to-peer, and via text-to-give. Anyone who texts “JOIN2021” to the number 71777 can donate to any of the 70 agencies and/or sign up to fundraise on their behalf.
In 2020, United Way of the Ohio Valley was able to raise over $68,000 for its community through the platform, matching gifts and golden tickets. This year United Way of the Ohio Valley hopes to far exceed that number and make an even greater impact.
At this time, United Way of the Ohio Valley has $5,000 in matching gifts and will announce matching gift hours via its social media on Giving Tuesday. Visit United Way of the Ohio Valley at www.facebook.com/uwov.org for more information or contact Blaine Mathew at bmathew@uwov.org.
