MADISONVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet notifies motorists of upcoming bridge work on KY 69 over I-165. The contractor will address joint eliminations at each end of the bridge beginning Monday, Nov. 29.
Traffic will be shifted to the shoulders, restricting the lane width to 10′.The shifts will take place in both the northbound and southbound directions.
This traffic pattern will be in place until March.
Variable message boards will be in place throughout the project to alert motorists of changes in work activities. Reconstruction in Ohio County at the I-165/KY 69 interchange, mile point 50.1.
The project was added to the Recommended Highway Plan in 2018 and will improve the functionality and safety by bringing this interchange up to current interstate standards.
The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2022
