MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Phillip Wayne Worley, 71, of Morgantown, Kentucky, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at his residence. He was born May 31, 1950, in Hartford, Kentucky, to the late Waymon C. Worley and Mary Ina Ellis Worley.

Phillip retired from Big Rivers Power Plant and was a member of Sugar Grove Church of Christ.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence Taylor and Christine Worley, and Anna Maude Albin, and former father-in-law, Rayburn Robinson.

Phillip leaves behind to cherish his memory, one son, Chris (Jennifer) Worley, of Hartford; two daughters, Amy (David) Matthews, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Taylor (Lucas) Smith, of Hartford; 10 grandchildren, Oaklei, Piper and Memphis Smith, Trey, Alex, Emma, Simon, Cross, and Silas Matthews, and Abby Rubenaker; four great-grandchildren, Ezra and Piper Matthews, and Lynnox and Grey Rubenaker; and one brother, Roger (Debbie) Worley, of Morgantown.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Bro. Will Gott officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Cromwell, Kentucky. Friends may visit with Phillips family from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
