BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Thomas J. Smith, 66, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021, at Ohio County Healthcare. He was born April 4, 1955, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late John and Betsy Cavins Smith.
Mr. Smith was a retired farmer.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Miracle Irene Smith; two brothers, J.C. Smith and Frankie Smith; and two sisters, Lou Farris and Faye Daugherty.
Survivors include one daughter, Crystal Embry, of Beaver Dam; two stepsons, Roger Pharris, of Morgantown, Kentucky, and Wayne Pharris, of Centertown, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Bobby Embry, Maddalin Lear, Maggie Lear, and TJ Smith Jr.; six step-grandchildren, Thomas Pharris, Emily Pharris, Payton Pharris, Heather Pharris, Roger Pharris Jr., and Ransom Pharris; several great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Cathleen McClain, of McHenry, Kentucky, Sue Middleton, of McHenry, and Beatrice Farris, of Echols, Kentucky.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky has been entrusted with arrangements.
