OWENSBORO, Ky. — Owensboro Community and Technical College’s business administration program provides a pathway for busy adults to earn various certifications and an associate’s degree in business administration in just two years, attending full-time. This accelerated business program allows students the flexibility of selecting a focus in management or accounting and can be completed with most courses offered on-line with most classes scheduled in 8-week increments.
Students can complete all the degree requirements in two years and earn an Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration as well as multiple certificates including: advanced business administration, public leadership, supervisory management, team leadership and general business.
The program is divided into mostly eight-week classes during the fall, spring and summer semesters. Fall classes begin August 16, 2021.
“If busy adults, juggling family and work are looking to begin their career in business, or upgrade their skills, this program can help them do that more quickly, and it offers flexibility for those who may need to slow down for a semester also,” said Michael Boyd, program coordinator for the OCTC BA program.
Dr. Stacy Edds-Ellis added, “The faculty in the BA program developed this 8-week model well before it became a trend. They have the experience and skills to get students to the degree finish line.”
