CENTERTOWN, Ky. — Hunter Leroy Owings, 20, of Centertown, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in Ohio County, Kentucky. He was born on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to Russell P. and the late Nora Leisure Owings.
Hunter was a farmer and loved fishing.
Other than his mother he is preceded in death by his grandfather, Calvin Luther Leisure Jr.
Hunter Leroy Owings is survived by his wife, Sierra J. Dockery Owings, of Centertown; one son, Ryan Leroy Owings, of Centertown; father, Russell P. Owings (Jessie), of Galveston, Texas; three brothers, Travis Tinsley, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Harley and Jackson Owings, of Angleton, Texas; three sisters, Chae, Addison, and Emma Owings, all of Angleton, Texas; grandparents, Russell P. Owings, of Galveston, Texas, Terri Davis, of Birmingham, Alabama, and Janice Leisure, of Beaver Dam.
Funeral services will be held at the Zion Harmony Baptist Church Wednesday, May 26, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Calvin Dockery officiating. Burial will be held in the Zion Harmony Church Cemetery where Dustin Buchanan, Ethan Durbin, Travis Tinsley, Keith Deno, Matt Jones, Colby Paris, Jason Dockery, and Tim Durbin will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at Zion Harmony Baptist Church.
