BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Calvin L. Leisure Jr., 66, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at his residence. He was born on Dec. 4, 1954, in Hartford, Kentucky, to the late Opal and Calvin L. Leisure Sr.
Mr. Leisure was a United States Air Force and National Guard veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a farmer.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nora Owings; his son, Calvin L. Leisure III; grandson, Hunter Owings; and one brother, Milton Leisure.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his wife of 46 years, Janice Leisure, of Beaver Dam; one brother, Ricky (Norma) Leisure; three sisters, Carla (Phillip) Taylor, Jean Davis, and Virginia (Larry) Ross; two grandchildren, Travis Tinsley and Chae Owings; and one great-grandchild, Ryan Owings.
Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Rev. Ricky Leisure officiating. Friends may visit with his family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
