MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Louella Frames Deweese, 93, of Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Horse Branch, Kentucky, on Dec. 3, 1927, to the late Lawrence and Alta Geary Frames.
She was a homemaker and a member of Leach Chapel General Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and taking care of her flowers.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glespie Deweese; brothers, James Frames, L.W. Frames, Aurda Frames; an infant brother; sister, Fay Deweese; an infant sister; sister-in-law, Cricket Ward Frames; and great grandchildren, Hunter and Tanner Deweese.
She is survived by her children, Mary Woosley (Terry), of Morgantown, Daymon Deweese (Rita), of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Ray Deweese (Gina), of Hadley, Kentucky; grandchildren, Roger Dale Smith (Juniper), of Denver, Colorado, Chad Smith, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sterling Deweese, of Horse Branch, Preston Deweese (Rachel), of Hartford, Kentucky, Harlie Deweese, of Hadley; great-grandchildren, Brian Smith, Shauna Smith, Steven Smith, Houston Russell Smith (Jamie Jackson), Tyler Peay Smith, Destriana Smith, Ella Deweese, and Jr. Deweese; great-great-grandchildren, Lucian Smith and Brendan Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home with
Bro. Glennie Geary officiating. Burial will be held in the Geary Cemetery in Ohio County, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
