HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Frederick O. Tarrence, 81, of Horse Branch, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021, at his home after a short battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 15, 1939, in Horse Branch, to the late Hobert and Pearlie Phelps Tarrence.
He was a retired welder, mechanic, and farmer. Fred served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Kay Tarrance; siblings, Johnie Tarrence, Elbert Tarrence, Margie Craig, Elmon Tarrence, Chesford Tarrence, Gilmon Tarrence, Eardeen Heflin, and Ovaleen Wilson; and sister-in-law, Carmelree Tarrence.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory, a brother-in-law, Coy Heflin, and several nieces and nephews.
In honoring Fred’s wishes, there will be no services and he will be buried beside Sheila in Hobert Tarrence Family Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky. William L. Danks Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
