CENTRAL CITY, Ky. — Brian Scott “Big Country” Perry, 44, of Central City, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 11:30 p.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Perry was born March 8, 1976, in Ohio County, Kentucky.
He was a minister and deputy jailer at Muhlenberg County Jail.
He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Emmit and Lillian Perry, and Sammie and Mercedes Monroe.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Riley Perry; daughters, Nicole (Clay) McRoy, Ricki Beth (Nick) Johnson, and Emily Perry; sons, Brandon Ortiz, Tristan Bolton, and Aaron Perry; grandchild, Archer Allen Johnson; parents Emmett and Anita Perry; sisters, Lori Perry Stinson and Tanya Perry; brother, Kevin Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 7, at 2 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy, with Pastor Sam Smith officiating, assisted by Sister Carolyn Erwin. Visitation will be Sunday after 11:00 a.m. at the church. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor’s mandate. Capacity will be limited to comply with current state guidelines.
