HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County Schools will return to in-person learning for all students March 22, 2021.

March 22 was chosen as the return date for three reasons, the date is two weeks after staff received the second round of vaccine, the date is all the start of the fourth nine weeks semester and the next three weeks will allow OC Schools to take care of preparations for the transition.

Students who are currently learning remotely or through NTI can finish the rest of their school year that way, or those who wish to can return to in-person learning to finish the year. Preschool students will continue following their current schedule for the remainder of the school year.

All students will have the opportunity to make instructional changes before March 22. Contact the school soon if planning to make any instructional changes. After March 22, students will need to finish the school year with the instructional model they are using.

Even though students will be returning to in-person learning, students and staff will continue to take measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Social distancing will still be encouraged when possible. Everyone will continue to wear face masks, except during lunch. Student emperatures will be checked when arriving at school.

Meals will still be available for pick up at each school and the school plans on continuing its three summer feeding routes.
