OWENSBORO, Ky. — OCTC Surgical Technology Program will host several 2021 Virtual Pre-Admission Conferences over the next several months.
The 2021 Virtual Pre-Admission Conferences are scheduled for:
- Friday, March 5, 9:30
- Thursday, March 18, 4:00
- Wednesday, March 31,1:00
- Friday, April 16, 1:30
Owensboro Community & Technical College has an excellent, 10-month, Associate in Applied Science degree Surgical Technology program. OCTC program graduates have earned a 100% first-time pass rate for seven consecutive years on the national certification licensure exam. These pre-admission conferences are designed to give prospective students an overview of the program and demonstrations to simulate the lab experience.
This selective admissions program is hosting preadmission conferences for the Fall 2021 semester at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 5; at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 18; at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31; and at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 16. All sessions will be held virtually and the links are provided on OCTC’s Facebook page or you may contact zara.basham@kctcs.edu and be sent the link. Interested students who are not able to access the links should contact Basham directly for accommodations.
Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the national professional certification licensure exam administered by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. The program has a limited number of seats available each year.
