HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County Healthcare reported on its Facebook page Friday that its phase 1B vaccine allocation has been “halted” for the next few weeks. Those included in the phase 1B vaccination plan are Ohio Countians who are 70 years old and up.
According to OCH, state health officials have given a limited quantity of vaccines to several regional distribution sites throughout the state. OCH has petitioned the state to be one of those regional distribution sites, but thus far have been denied.
Over the last few weeks, OCH has been taking information from those 70 years old and up and adding them to a waitlist to receive the vaccine. However, it appears those who are on the Ohio County Wait List will be waiting at least two to three weeks for the vaccine.
In the meantime, those who are on the Ohio County Wait List are free to contact any of the regional distribution sites to set up a time to receive a vaccination. According to OCH, “the goal is to get vaccinated wherever appointments are available.”

There are several regional distribution sites close to Ohio County including, Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Baptist Health in Madisonville, Greenwood Mall and The Medial Center in Bowling Green.
OCH will continue to take information to those wanting to be added to the Ohio County Wait List. To be added to the Ohio County Wait List, call 270-215-9082 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday or register online at OCHcares.com.
