MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Donald Hunt, 78, of Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born in Butler County, Kentucky, on Nov. 5, 1942, to the late Veachel and Delia Hunt.
He was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church for 50 years. Donald was in the trucking business, hauled gravel and dirt, and was a drywall hanger. He loved to ride motorcycles with Judy.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Lane Meredith Hunt; son, Mike Hunt; stepson, Timmy Porter; brothers, Royce Hunt and Rodney Hunt; and sister, Linda Lee.
He is survived by his children Lisa Nicewinter, of Morgantown, Laura Oliver, of Morgantown, Donald Wayne Hunt, of Bowling Green, Timmy Hunt, of Beaver Dam, and Dennis Hunt, of Morgantown; stepchildren, Joey Porter, of Lexington, Kentucky, Chuck Porter and Jimmy Gaskey, both of Morgantown, Scott Gaskey, of Cromwell, Kentucky; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Embry and MaeDean Howard, both of Morgantown; and brother, Jerry Hunt, of Morgantown.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at Belmont General Baptist Church with Bro. Buddy Brooks and Bro. T.J. Howard and officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Belmont General Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at the Belmont Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Everyone must wear a mask and social distancing is required. No outside food or drink may be brought in.
