GREENVILLE, Ky. — Melinda L. Brown, 68, of Greenville, passed away Sunday afternoon, Jan. 17, 2021, at 3:10 p.m. at Baptist Health System in Madisonville, Kentucky. Melinda was born on Feb. 10, 1952, in Greenville the daughter of the late Hoyt Newman and Eula Nell Cornette Newman.
She was a housewife and a homemaker and had worked for Flynn Manufacturing. She was a member of Green River Chapel General Baptist Church.
She loved her family, especially her grandbaby, and her special dog Jack.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years Eddie Brown, of Greenville; a daughter, Michelle (Denny, Sr.) Milam, of Cromwell, Kentucky; a son, Chris Brown, of Bremen, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Hope Brown, of Central City, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Kelli Lile, of Central City; a sister, Ann Tarrants, of Greenville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be private. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
