BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The Beaver Dam Tourism Commission has released more information about its 2020 Christmas Parade, including the parade’s master of ceremonies, Steve Vest, publisher and Editor-In-Chief of Kentucky Monthly Magazine.
Earlier this week, the BDTC announced the cancellation of the Downtown Beaver Dam Christmas Fest. Though the event was canceled due to the rising cases of COVID-19, the BDTC decided to still go ahead with this year’s Christmas Parade, including a livestream of the parade for those who wished to stay home.
The Beaver Dam Christmas Paraded will begin at 5 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020. The parade will begin at Beaver Dam Elementary School and make its way through downtown Beaver Dam. For those attending the parade, the city asks you to stay on the sidewalks with good social distance between families. Those attending the parade should also wear face masks to protect themselves and others from the coronavirus.
For those who wish to stay home and watch the livestream of the parade, the livestream event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a pre-show, live interviews, a Q & A session, and more. The parade will begin at 5 p.m.
During the livestream, Vest will lead viewers through the evening, highlighting floats and parade participants. In addition to the parade, viewers will hear stories, trivia and interviews with special guests. The live feed will also be monitored and questions will be answers and comments will be shared.
According to an email sent out by the BDTC, “It’s going to be loads of fun. We expect an audience from all across America and even some international “visitors” tuning in. We’re excited to showcase our small town and give folks some insight into the people who help make The Dam magical.”
The livestream is free and you can watch it from anywhere on the device of your choosing, just click here and enjoy the show.
