MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Jewel Dean Barron, 73, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020, at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Jewel was born Feb. 16, 1947, in Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Vernon and Goldie Embry Calloway and wife of the late Charles Barron.
She attended Olaten Missionary Baptist Church in Ohio County, Kentucky, and a retired nurse’s aid working in several nursing homes and hospitals. Jewel enjoyed word search puzzles, reading and drinking coffee.
Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Burnette.
Jewel Dean Barron is survived by one daughter, Rebekah Jackson; one granddaughter, Chyanne Tuttle; one great-granddaughter, Jacilynn Tuttle; one brother, Kirby Calloway (Jenny), all of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 12 p.m. with Bro. Jimmy Dockery officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 12 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
