In Community, Local, News by OC Monitor Staff

OWENSBORO, Ky. — Wendell Foster, a local agency serving people with disabilities, has launched the “Wendell Foster 50/50 Holiday Raffle.” The purchaser of the winning raffle ticket will receive one-half of the amount raised.
For example, if $100,000 is raised, the amount will be divided equally with 50 percent going to Wendell Foster and 50 percent going to the random/lucky winner. The online event will be available to all legal U.S. citizens who are at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
The proceeds from the raffle will be used to renovate Wendell Foster’s Green Outpatient Therapy Facility. The 34-year-old building will be revived into a contemporary location for comprehensive, advanced therapies that will offer a mirroring atmosphere of the new Latham Outpatient Therapy Facility. The facility serves over 600 people with disabilities each year.
“We have high hopes for this event,” Doug Hoyt, Wendell Foster’s Chief Executive Officer, shared. “We hope to raise over $100,000 through the holiday raffle. Together, we can help empower people with disabilities. Thank you for playing, and we wish you the best of luck!”
Entry to play costs $1 per entry and will be for sale until Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at 11:59 p.m., CST. The winning ticket will be announced Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at 12 p.m., CST.
For the purpose of limiting the potential exposure to COVID-19, entries can only be purchased online at https://go.rallyup.com/wendellfoster5050.
Wendell Foster employees and board members are ineligible to play.
