
Larry was the pastor of Charity Faith Chapel and served as a volunteer prison chaplain at Blackburn Correctional Complex and Greenville Correctional Center. He was also the founding owner of Small Spot Auto Sales.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Minton and a sister, Ruby Shown.
He leaves behind, his wife of 50 years, Thelma “Lois” Minton; three sons, Charlie (Laura) Schroader, Kevin (Kristie) Minton, Robert (Beth) Minton; one daughter, Leah (Jeff) Decker, all of Beaver Dam; and one brother, Charles “Peewee” (Dolly) Minton, of Madisonville, Kentucky. He was a loving papaw to seven granddaughters, Cheyenne Roarke, Abbygail Schroader, Lexy Schroader, Emily Minton, Ruby Minton, Avery Decker and Adaline Decker; two grandsons, Simon Schroader and Isaiah Dean Minton; two stepgrandchildren, Kaitlyn and Christopher Coppage; two great-grandsons, Brantley Roarke and Hudson Dean Roarke; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Bro. Tim Smith officiating. Friends may visit with Larry’s family from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
