LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bluegrass music was born in Kentucky and AARP Kentucky invites everyone to a special virtual celebration of the state’s deep Bluegrass roots. Bring a friend and join “An Evening of Bluegrass Music,” a free virtual event open to the public.
A lot has changed due to COVID-19, but AARP Kentucky has worked throughout the pandemic to deliver virtual events across the state providing its members and the general public opportunities for fun, voting safe, cooking classes, DIY gardening and fighting fraud.
Now AARP provides you with the chance to watch livestreaming performances by Kentucky’s rising Bluegrass stars and all-time favorites.

- Shrimp-N-Grits Bluegrass String Band featuring Chris Joslin
- Whiskey Bent Valley Boys
- Mackenzie Bell and Karly Whittaker
- Special Guest Host: Owensboro’s own, Kirk Kirkpatrick, live from the beautiful Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Owensboro.
