BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The Beaver Dam Tourism Commission is hosting a photo contest. The photos can be of anything, but must be taken within the Beaver Dam city limits. All photos will be submitted to a panel of judges from across the United States. Those judges will narrow the entries down to the top ten. The top then will then be displayed for public voting. The top three photos will win cash prizes, $250 for first place, $150 for second place and $100 for third place.
“We want to give photographers, both professional and amateur alike, a chance to showcase their talents,” said Becky Geary, executive director of the BDTC.
The photos will be displayed inside Beaver Dam City Hall and used to market Beaver Dam. Mayor Paul Sandefur believed the photo contest would be a good opportunity for citizens of Beaver Dam to show what attracted them to the city.
