HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County Healthcare continues to expand testing for COVID-19 in the county and has tested 687 people. At this time, OCH is awaiting the results of 81 COVID-19 tests
While also expanding COVID-19 testing, OCH has implemented the gradual re-opening of many of its non-emergent outpatient and provider services including diagnostics, lab, infusion, rehab, and beginning this week – surgical services.
To assure the safety of patients and employees, all areas will observe the following measures:
- Maintaining social distancing;
- Patients and staff are all wearing masks;
- Registering all out-patient and clinic patients in parking lots;
- Using waiting areas only on a very limited basis;
- Patients and staff are being screened for any health-related issues;
- COVID-19 Testing pre-surgical patients less than 72 hours before surgery;
- Maintaining a strict separation of non-COVID-19 areas from COVID-19 areas;
- Increasing regular and special cleaning and sanitizing;
- Where possible, working employees from home; and,
- Emphasizing the continued use of telemedicine services in both our primary and specialty care practices.
