Dixie Whitaker Campbell

BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Dixie Whitaker Campbell, 88, of Beaver Dam, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born Dec. 6, 1931, in Perry County, Kentucky, to the late R.B. Whitaker and Myrtle Dixon Whitaker.

Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker and a member of Old Indian Bottom Old Regular Baptist Church in Blackey, Kentucky.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie James Campbell; two sons, Richard Keith Campbell and Gregory Bryan Campbell; and a brother, Aster Whitaker.

Mrs. Campbell leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Randy Campbell, of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren, Jamie (Amanda) Campbell, Abbie (Derrick) Smith, and Bradley Keith Campbell; and four great-grandchildren, Athena and Sadie Campbell, and Harlyn and Abrahm Smith.

In lieu of visitation, there will be a drive-through caravan in remembrance on Monday, May 11, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Follow the posted signs to direct you to the viewing area. The family requests that you please come as you are and drive through to pay your respects. Due to safety directives, please do not exit your car, but you can roll down your window and show your support for Mrs. Campbell’s family.
