HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County Healthcare has ramped up the testing for COVID-19, which is starting to lead to more days like today where the Green River District Health Department reports Ohio County has 7 more confirmed cases. Today’s number brings Ohio County’s total cases of COVID-19 to 26 with 9 recovered.
OCH has tested a total of 220 patients with 62 results pending. A total of 37 patients were screened Wednesday between the Hartford, Fordsville and Butler County Screening Centers. Visit the COVID-19 resources at OCHcares.com for location, hours and contact information for all three screening centers.
According to OCH’s update on its Facebook page, positive results will continue to rise with increased screening and testing capability. COVID-19 is still active in Ohio County. The faster turn around time for results allows local health departments to more rapidly implement contact investigation protocol which will help to contain the spread of the virus.
OCH reminds Ohio County to stay the course.
Social distancing is still the most effective way to minimize community spread. No matter if you are #HealthyatHome or #HealthyatWork. Continue to wash hands for 20 seconds and wear a cloth face mask in public. The mask is especially important if your work environment does not allow for six feet of distance between you and others.
