HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County Healthcare provided an update earlier this evening on the county’s COVID-19 cases.
As of this afternoon, Ohio County’s total number of positive cases of COVID-19 remains at six.
OCH has tested 32 people and has 9 pending results. If you are experiencing cough, fever or shortness of breath, call the COVID-19 24/7 Hotline at 270-256-5535 or visit the Screening Center at 1132 Clay Street. If you need healthcare, call OCH’s provider offices to schedule an in-office or virtual video visit.
To minimize community spread, the CDC now recommends everyone wear a face-covering in public or professional spaces where social distancing is harder to maintain, including grocery stores, pharmacies, and workplaces . Because many people may have the virus without knowing it, face coverings help keep them from spreading it to others. Face masks cover the nose and mouth. Optimally, the covering would go over eyes, nose, and mouth.
Robert Knox, MD and Rowgena Cain, ARPN, OCH’s Ear, Nose, and Throat providers, have created a video guide of how to use basic office supplies to create a full face shield. Click here to view.
OCH urges community members to help “STOP THE SPREAD” by wearing facial coverings in public. This also allows all medical-grade personal protective equipment to be reserved for healthcare professionals who are in direct patient contact areas.
