HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County Healthcare has begun another week of providing daily weekday updates on how COVID-19 is affecting Ohio County.
According to today’s update from the Green River District Health Department, the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Ohio County has risen to a total of six.
Overall, OCH has tested a total of 27 patients, received 17 negatives, two positives and has eight results still pending. This number does not include tests or pending results from other area medical facilities. No matter where a person is tested, if a positive result is confirmed, it would be attributed back to the person’s home community.
OCH shares testing and positive result data to help keep the community informed of the current level of virus activity. We urge area residents to focus not just on the numbers, but on prevention efforts to help stop community spread.
Stop the spread by:
- Stay home unless for work or groceries. (Buy groceries in bulk to limit number of trips to store)
- Seek healthcare services when you need it. Opt to use virtual visits when possible.
- If out in public, maintain a 6 foot distance from others.
- Wear a cloth mask to protect others from you. Visit CDC.gov for newly revised guidelines on cloth face coverings.
- Wash you hands or use hand sanitizer frequently
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
The less people you come in contact with reduces the chance of spreading or contracting COVID-19.
Our healthcare team is here and ready to provide care if you need us. OCH’s COVID-19 Hotline is 270-256-5535. The hotline is open and manned 24/7.
