OCH says no confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ohio County

HARTFORD, Ky. — Ohio County Healthcare has provided an update on COVID-19 for Ohio County. According to OCH, there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ohio County. Even though there are no confirmed cases, OCH is open and ready to provide care to those who may need it.

If you have flu-like symptoms, call ahead to 270-298-7411 before coming to any facilities.

The symptoms and criteria are:

  • Fever, cough and shortness of breath.
  • Recent close contact with a COVID-19 patient or travel to an area where it is active.
  • Unsure if you should seek treatment? Call the Kentucky Department of Health Hotline at 1-800-722-5725.

If seeking core for the above symptoms or COVID-19 treatment, go directly to the OCH Emergency Department.

At this time, testing is not available upon request by the general public. OCH follows the screening guidelines recommended by the CDC and the DPA. A full evaluation by your healthcare provider will determine the next steps in suspected cases.

For those visiting OCH:

Put on a mask if you are coughing, sneezing or have a fever. They will be available at all OCH registration desks.

Verbal screening will be in place before accessing care areas.

Wash hands or use alcohol sanitizer before and after leaving a patient’s room, exam room or any OCH facility.
