REYNOLDS STATION, Ky. — Danny Ray Embry, 71, of Reynolds Station, passed away March 10, 2020, at Morgantown Care and Rehab. Danny was born March 8, 1949, in Butler County, Kentucky, to the union of the late Jim and Christine Griffith Embry.
Danny was of the Pentecostal faith, loved hunting and fishing, which he did a lot of with Randy and Jr.
Other than his parents Danny is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Daugherty; two sisters, Sue Johnson and Shelia Embry; and two brothers; Bobby and Wendell Embry.
Danny is survived by his companion, Mary Fambough, of Reynolds Station; one daughter, Jennifer Phelps (Anthony), of Morgantown, Kentucky; one son, Virgil Phelps (Angela), of Louisville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Cody Russ, Ty Daugherty, Zac Phelps, Olivia Phelps, Ashley Neighbors, Lindsey Embry, and Nic Phelps; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Melissa Burgess (Walter), of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Joyce Marksbkerry, of Texas; and brother-in-law, Jr. Ambrose, of Reynolds Station.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Cody Russ Officiating. Burial will be in the Wade Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Friday from 8 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
