James Bryan Rigsby

COPPELL, Texas — James Bryan Rigsby, 90, passed away Feb. 29, 2020, at his residence in Coppell.

Mr. Rigsby, a Texas native, came to Kentucky to study for the ministry at the Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. He served as pastor at the Presbyterian Church in Rockport, Kentucky, where he met and married his wife of 64 years, Hazel Tooley.

The couple lived in Louisville for many years, where they had two children, and Mr. Rigsby worked for the Vulcan-Hart Corporation.

The Rigsbys moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1980 where they started and operated their own company, Commercial Appliance Service. After retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Rigsby relocated to Coppell, Texas.

Mr. Rigsby leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Hazel Tooley Rigsby, of Coppell; two children, Roseanne (James) Havron, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and James Michael (Serena) Rigsby; and two grandchildren, Isaac Rigsby and Megan Rigsby, all of Coppell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery in Echols, Kentucky. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
