CROMWELL, Ky. — Alice Blacklock Bryant, 95, of Cromwell, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born Feb. 2, 1925, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Alva Lee Blacklock and Ida Myrtle Day Blacklock.
Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker and the eldest member of Oak Grove Church of God in Cromwell. She had been a faithful member for over 70 years.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Bryant; two sons, James M. Bryant and Robert Lewis Bryant; one grandson; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; four brothers, Avery Blacklock, Ivan Blacklock, Glen Blacklock, and Alva Blacklock Jr.; and three sisters, Infant Christine Blacklock, Flossie Hines, and Eula Hunter.
Mrs. Bryant leaves behind to cherish her memories two sons, Ivan (Debby) Bryant, of Cromwell, and Ronnie Bryant, of Cromwell; three daughters, Betty Gilstrap, of Cromwell, Elaine (Eulon) Cardwell, of Cromwell, and Brenda (Bill) Luttrell, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, 47 great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at William L. Danks Funeral home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with Pastor Steven Leach and Rev. Earnest Whitely officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit with Mrs. Bryant’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
