Trilby ‘Nadine’ Havener

OHIO COUNTY, Ky. — Trilby “Nadine” Havener, 70, of Ohio County, Kentucky passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, at her home under the care of hospice and surrounded by her loved ones. Nadine was born March 16, 1949, at the Ohio County Hospital to the late Offie and Lena Artelia Taylor Daugherty.

She was a 1967 Ohio County High School graduate. Nadine married Larry Havener on May 27, 1967; they were married 53 wonderful years. She enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting, taking trips to Kentucky Lake and spending time with her family.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by three siblings, Eldon Daugherty, Carroll Daugherty, and Guynell Cowles, and one great-grandson, Isaiah West.

Trilby “Nadine” Havener is survived by her loving husband, Larry Havener; five children, Mike Havener (Karen), Tammy Boling (Roger), Shane Havener (Cindy Franzman), Robbie Havener (Shannon), Chanda Shock (Dallas); 12 grandchildren, Rex Havener, Colton Havener, Braden Havener, Lauren Havener, Mika Dant, Ashley West, Chris Gillispie, Kaleigh Gillispie, Corey Havener, Landon Havener, Tanner Shock, and Alex Shock; 11 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Lillian Amos, Edith Whitaker, and Kathy Evans.

The family has arranged for funeral services to be held at the Mt Carmel Baptist Church, 607 Buford Road, Utica, KY 42376 on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 4 p.m. with Bro. Chris Taylor officiating. Private burial will be held in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. until funeral time at 4 p.m. at the Mt Carmel Baptist Church.
