HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a scam is making its way around the county.
The scam begins with a phone call from scammers pretending to be from Amazon Customer Support. The scammers will tell you your account may have been compromised and then attempt to get your account information. The caller ID could possibly show the call is coming from Amazon.
The Sheriff’s Office cautions you about giving your information to anyone who contacts you asking for account information.
