HARTFORD, Ky. — Arthur “Lue” Allen, 76, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at Ohio County Healthcare with his family by his side. He was born Sept. 29, 1943, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Hilbert Allen and Louvine Belle Sorrells Allen.
Mr. Allen was a farmer and member of Hickory Presbyterian Church.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, W.A. Allen and Charles Allen, and one sister, Martha Sue Poor.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory one brother, Leonard (Elizabeth) Allen, of Cromwell, Kentucky; two sisters, Deana Allen, of Auburn, Kentucky, and Darlene Culbertson, of Cromwell, Kentucky; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Rev. Gary Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Cemetery in Cromwell. Friends may visit with Mr. Allen’s family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
