***UPDATE*** GREENVILLE, Ky. (10/9/19) — Thomas Vaught, an escaped inmate, was located by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department around 1 p.m. today on Huehls Hill Street in Cleaton, Kentucky.
Vaught walked away from work release Monday night in Greenville.
GREENVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky State Police is asking the public for help in finding an inmate who walked away from a work release in Greenville.
According to KSP Post 2, around 9:40 p.m. Monday night, the KSP received a call about an inmate walking away from work release between 9:10 p.m. and 9:35 p.m.
The escapee is Thomas R. Vaught., 44, of Central City, Kentucky. Vaught is a white male, with gray hair, brown eyes, 6’1” tall, and weighs 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt with Muhlenberg County Detention Center on the back, and orange pants.
Vaught left the Muhlenberg County Agriculture Center after stealing a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. The pickup has a toolbox and diesel tank in the bed of the truck. The front of the vehicle has a University of Kentucky plate, and the rear of the truck bears an official license plate.
