HORSE BRANCH, Ky. — Connie Jean Allen Payton, 80, of Horse Branch, passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, at her home. She was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Rosine, Kentucky, to the late Stanley Allen and Loretta Leach Allen.
Mrs. Payton was previously employed by Thomas Industries and Kellwood Company. She was a member of Rosine United Methodist Church.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Payton, on Nov. 17, 2009, and two brothers, Wendell Allen and Ronnie Allen.
She is survived by her daughter, Varie Munford; two grandchildren, James Robert (Abigail) Munford and Erin (Josh) Jackson; three great-grandchildren; a brother, David Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Rev. Mike Baldwin officiating. Friends may visit with Mrs. Payton’s family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rosine Cemetery in Rosine, Kentucky.
