OLATON, Ky. — Devin Michael Coon, 18, of Olaton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at his residence. He was born, Jan. 24, 2001, in Evansville, Indiana, the son of Davis Keith and Christina Lynn Boyd Coon.
He was a student at the Grayson County High School where he was the first trumpet player for the Cougar Marching Band. He had also enlisted in the Unites States Marine Corps and was set to begin his service after graduation.
He is survived by his parents, David and Christina Coon; three brothers, Joe, Nick, and David Coon; three sisters, Abby, Brooklyn, and Alexis Coon; maternal grandparents, Peggy and David Gaines and Larry Boyd; maternal great grandparents, Willie and Bobbie Wright; one niece, Madalyn Spencer; two nephews, Alex Spencer and Colton Hawkins; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Cremation was chosen in lieu of burial. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
