PENROD, Ky. — Kenneth Earl “Buck” Carver, 73, of Penrod, passed away to glory Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, at 7:05 a.m. at his home. Mr. Carver was born in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, Oct. 6, 1945, to the late J.H. and Ruth Forgy Carver.
He was a retired auto technician, working 27 years for Chevrolet, and ran his own business for 21 years. He was a member of Myers Chapel Church. He loved the Lord, his family, and friends. He enjoyed showing his car, tractors and lawn mowers, racing his car, and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pat Jernigan.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margie Hardison Carver; sons, Shane (Amy) Carver, of Quality, Kentucky, Wade (Traci) Carver, of Rockport, Kentucky, and Aaron (Angela) Carver, of Penrod; grandchildren, Amber (Tyler) Whitney, Seth (Shay) Carver, Bryce Carver, and Nathan Carver; great-grandchildren, Jaden and Kierra; sister, Shelia (Lawrence) Johnson; and brothers, Harold (Shirley) Carver, Mike (Shirley) Carver, and Neal (Hettie) Carver.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m. at Myers Chapel Church, with Bro. Brent Waltrip officiating. Burial in Myers Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 5 p.m. at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Baptist Health Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
