OHIO COUNTY, Ky. — Edward T. Farris, 85, of Ohio County, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born March 1, 1934, to the late John Calvin and Elsie Mae Burden Farris.
He was member of Aberdeen Baptist Church and retired from TVA, as a millwright. Ed was a member of the Cassia Masonic Lodge #272 and loved to fish and hunt.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Reathel Farris.
He is survived by son, John T. Farris (Olivia), of Bowling Green; daughter, Lisa Farris Milburn (Matt), of Bowling Green; stepdaughter, Terri Evans (Terry), of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Destiny Parker (Gage), of Beaver Dam, Jackson Milburn, Ethan Farris, and Georgia Rose, all of Bowling Green; brother, Hillard Farris, of Louisville, Kentucky; sister, Jean Guffy, of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Aberdeen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
