Anna Rae Burden Fulkerson

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Anna Rae Burden Fulkerson, 93, of Cookeville, formerly of Ohio County, Kentucky, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, at her home. She and her twin were born Nov. 13, 1925, in Ohio County, the daughters of the late Claud Burden and Millie Jane Minton Burden.

Mrs. Fulkerson previously attended Pond Run Baptist Church in Ohio County and Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hazel Park, Michigan. She retired from DeVlieg Machine Company where she worked as a machinist.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hildred Fulkerson; infant daughter, Heather Fulkerson, and infant son, James R. Fulkerson; son, John C. Fulkerson; three sisters, Evelyn Crume, Nomi Thomas, and Jeanette Taylor; three brothers, Cleo Burden, Billy Burden, and Dr. Jimmy Burden; and two grandsons, James R. Bishop and Robert P. Pearce.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three daughters, Hilda A. Knight, of Hartford, Kentucky, Millie D. Lee, of Cookeville, and Patricia D. “Pat” Pearce-Martin, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Beulah Fulkerson, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; twin sister, Edna Mae Hawkins, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Ed Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Echols Cemetery beside her late husband.
