BEAVER DAM, Ky. — The 2019 Stuff the Bus is scheduled for this weekend from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2019, and from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, at the Beaver Dam Walmart.
Stuff the bus will collect school supplies for Ohio County school children. All school supplies collected will be distributed to the schools’ Family Resource Coordinators, who will give the supplies to students throughout the upcoming school year.
The event organizers have released a list of school supplies needed for the upcoming school year. Items such as:
#2 lead pencils
Crayons (24 pack)
Pencil-top erasers
Scissors
Glue Sticks
Tab dividers
Spiral notebook (wide ruled)
Yellow highlighters
Composition notebooks
Washable markers
Big pink erasers
Small pencil box
Colored pencils (24 count)
Loose-leaf paper
3 ring binders (1-2 inch)
Other items such as Germ-X, Band-Aids, tissues, personal hygiene items and children’s liquid Tylenol will be greatly appreciated.
Cash donations will also be accepted and will be used to purchase additional school supplies and/or clothing for students.
The sponsors for the event are Ohio County Healthcare, Ohio County Public Schools, Perdue Farms, Walmart and the United Way of the Ohio Valley.
