MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Ronda “Ronnie” L. Geary, 78, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday June 29, 2019, at the Ohio County Healthcare in Hartford, Kentucky. Ronnie was born on Saturday, Aug. 3, 1940, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Robert W. and Sally A. Evans Geary and husband of the late Wilda Elaine Geary.
He was a member of Zion Harmony General Baptist Church, Free Will Association, and a Kentucky Colonel. Ronnie was a retired electrician and always a Baptist Minister.
Other than his parents and wife, he is preceded in death sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose Maiden (Charlie), Matty Bratcher (Royce), Fay Naue (Jim), and Helen Marie Geary.
Ronda “Ronnie” L. Geary is survived by one daughter, Chyrel Lynn Geary, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; one son, Daniel Lee Geary, of Morgantown; two Sandy Phelps (Gary), of Centertown, Kentucky, and Kay Kessinger (Kent), of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; two brothers, Bill Geary (Cherylynn), of Morgantown, and Ray “Bucky” Geary (Wendy “Stormy”), of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, July 2, at 11 a.m. with Bro. Calvin Dockery and Bro. Ricky Dockery officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday July 1, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday 8 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
