BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Stella Faye Douglas, 85, of Beaver Dam, passed away June 26, 2019, at Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab. She was born Aug. 24, 1933, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late Jessie James “Jimmy” Snodgrass and Olivia Jones Snodgrass.
Mrs. Douglas was a retired lunchroom cook where she worked for Ohio County and Daviess County Schools. She attended McHenry Baptist Church.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Douglas, and a daughter, Carolyn Rhineburger.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Gail (Phil) Duncan, of Evansville, Indiana, and Diane Hines, of McHenry, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Leslie (Chris) Humphrey, of Evansville, Jamie (Amanda) Rhineburger, of Owensboro, Kentucky, Phillip A. Duncan, of Huntington Beach, California, Jennifer (Dustin) Tackett, of Owensboro, and Steven Hines, of McHenry; six great-grandchildren, Cooper and Jackson Humphrey, James, Jason, Austin, and Autumn Rhineburger; two sisters, Nell Meguiar, of Auburn, Kentucky, and Shirley Markwell, of Lewisburg, Kentucky; and sister-in-law, Joyce Douglas, of McHenry.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Gary Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Friends may visit with Mrs. Douglas’ family from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
