HARTFORD, Ky. — The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office has discovered another scam making its way around the county.
According to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, someone claiming to be with an attorney’s office is calling and asking for money to be sent to help a family member pay for legal fees to get out of trouble. The caller provides a case number and a legal aid number.
This is a scam. Tell your loved ones, friends, and neighbors about this scam, so they will know to not respond to these calls.
